Specialist Nursing Role in Neurology and Stroke Care

The Northern Sydney Local Health District offers an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified Registered Nurses to join their dynamic team in the Neurology and Stroke Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital.

This unit is a collaborative ward supported by a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe care and enhanced patient outcomes. The ward also accommodates inpatient rehabilitation programs designed to assist patients to go straight home as an alternative to a rehabilitation facility.

We are looking for registered nurses who can assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater healthcare team to achieve quality patient care outcomes.

  • Assess and manage acute neurological conditions requiring specialized nursing care through enhanced assessment skills, infusions, and medication management.
  • Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Candidates must have current experience in an acute hospital environment, clinical knowledge, and clinical problem-solving ability, and registration as a Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
