About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Healthcare Professional to join our team as a Clinical Business Partner - Specialist Palliative Care Service. This is a new temporary role, supporting the expanding District wide Specialist Palliative Care Service.
Job DescriptionThe Clinical Business Partner - Specialist Palliative Care Service will be responsible for:
- Providing consultation services across various care settings, including hospital, community, and residential aged care facilities;
- Supporting patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families;
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including specialist nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, dietitians, and palliative care doctors.
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- To provide expert advice and guidance on palliative care principles and practices;
- To develop and implement policies and procedures related to palliative care;
- To provide education and training to staff on palliative care topics;
- To collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in a relevant health discipline (e.g., nursing, medicine, social work);
- Extensive experience in palliative care, preferably in a leadership or management role;
- Strong knowledge of palliative care principles and practices;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
