About the FP&A Team

We are a high-performing team within Canva's Finance organization, responsible for driving superior outcomes for the company. Our team is passionate about delivering accurate and timely financial insights to support business decisions.

About the Topline Forecasting Team

Within the FP&A Team, we have a dedicated Topline Forecasting Team that owns the topline forecast models, including architecting and optimizing how various input models come together to produce the overall company-level forecast. The team is responsible for creating and maintaining operational and scenario models that allow Canva to plan and track its Annualized Revenue Performance.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Finance Analyst to join our Topline Forecasting Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations, including ownership of topline forecast models, day-to-day updates, and analysis of revenue metrics, drivers, and dashboards. You will also support the creation of robust processes for Topline forecasting, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain operational models and strategic thinking to solve unique and complex business problems.
  • Work closely with Finance Business Partners and revenue-generating groups to understand performance metrics, underlying drivers, and ongoing strategic initiatives.
  • Provide forecasts that feed into profitability analysis, supporting the broader FP&A team with insights and commentary on operational metrics.
  • Identify potential risks to future growth and revenue early, through monitoring of metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with the broader FP&A and Finance team to elevate financial excellence across Canva.
Requirements
  • Experience in operational modeling and topline forecasting, preferably within the SaaS or tech industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with experience in building intricate models and providing actionable insights.
  • Experience with PowerQuery, PowerBi, DAX, and SQL is a plus.
