Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Central Coast Local Health District invites experienced Registered Nurses to join our dynamic Emergency Department at Gosford Hospital.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency or acute care (adult or paediatric) and be registered with AHPRA with valid work rights in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, prioritizing the needs of patients and ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes, promoting effective communication and teamwork
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on clinical judgement and evidence-based practice, continuously assessing and evaluating patient responses to care
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices and emerging trends in emergency care
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Registration with AHPRA and current residence in Australia with valid work rights
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency or acute care (adult or paediatric)
  • Strong clinical judgement and ability to thrive in a team-based environment, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility
  • Clear, confident communication and collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care, building strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
