Lead Developer Outreach Specialist

This role requires a strong technical foundation in software engineering, Linux, and open-source communities, as well as container technologies and DevOps.

  • Build and lead a team to engage with developers and ISVs.
  • Gather in-depth understanding of snaps, Juju charms, and Docker containers.
  • Grow the developer community by attracting software developers and ISVs.
  • Create content to boost adoption.
  • Provide input to development teams based on feedback from ISVs, developers, and the community.
  • Collaborate on developing documentation.
  • Write guides, tutorials, release notes, and white papers.
  • Curate existing documentation.
  • Engage with the community through various means.
  • Identify influencers and devise plans for effective engagement.
  • Deliver training workshops.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must be passionate about technology and working with skilled individuals.
  • Should be curious, flexible, articulate, and accountable.
  • Values soft skills and is thoughtful, self-motivated, and experienced in developer tools and open-source projects.
  • Has a clear public record of accomplishments.
  • Is interested in and has experience with two or more of: Ubuntu, DevOps, software development, testing, package management, container technology.
  • Can work independently and assume full ownership of objectives.
  • Enjoys working with new technology in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has experience working with open-source communities.
