Equipment Technician for Operating Theatres

We are seeking a skilled Theatre Equipment Support Officer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing equipment support to Perioperative Services, working within a multi-disciplinary team and coordinating corrective and preventative repairs with Clinical Engineering Department and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide equipment support to Perioperative Services across all Surgical Specialties
- Coordinate corrective and preventative repairs with Clinical Engineering Department and external suppliers
- Basic troubleshooting of AV and computer systems
- Basic calibration of medical devices
Reporting Structure:
The role will report to the Perioperative Biomedical Engineer and Support Services Manager, who oversees a dedicated team that provides essential support to patient care in our operating theatres.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you will require effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
- Effective communication skills and passion for continued professional development
- Attention to detail, strong prioritising skills and experience in problem solving
- Training or Certificate in medical technology or technical background
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel
