We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Approvals Specialist to join our team at BMT. As a key member of our environmental consulting team, you will provide expertise and leadership in environmental approvals, assessments, and project management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic and statutory environmental advice to clients in various sectors, with a focus on coastal and maritime infrastructure works.
- Build and maintain existing client relationships to further the APAC environment business.
- Supervise and review the work of external consultants and team members, sharing knowledge and acting as a mentor within their area of expertise or across the business.
- Project manage a range of projects to scope and within time, cost, and quality requirements.
- Contribute to thought leadership activities through work, including authoring papers, presenting at events, seminars, and conferences, and social media posts.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, planning, engineering, or other relevant area of study.
- More than 7 years' experience post-graduation.
- Demonstrated experience in State environmental approvals regime and/or Commonwealth environmental approvals regime.
- Willingness to learn new environmental approvals regimes.
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking environmental assessments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technical background in environmental consulting.
- Demonstrated business development skills.
