Position Overview:

As a Culinary Specialist, you will play a vital role in our kitchen, preparing nutritious meals tailored to the dietary requirements of our elderly residents. You will lead a team of kitchen assistants, ensuring that meal service is executed efficiently and in compliance with health standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Crafting wholesome and balanced meals that cater to individual dietary needs.
  • Overseeing kitchen operations, including resource management and budgeting for supplies.
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment in accordance with industry regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to the elderly.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with reliability and professionalism.
  • Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent.
  • Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate.
  • Familiarity with food safety protocols and kitchen hygiene standards.
  • Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) is advantageous.
  • Ability to follow directives and work independently.
  • Capacity to build respectful relationships with residents and their families.
  • Willingness to undergo NDIS and Police checks.
