Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to support our client, a prominent player in the design, sale, installation, and servicing of advanced food processing equipment. This role is essential in ensuring that clients receive exceptional support throughout the lifecycle of their machinery.
Key Responsibilities
As a Field Service Technician, you will:
- Conduct scheduled maintenance services at client locations.
- Ensure that service kits for machinery are accurately maintained and updated in the system.
- Generate comprehensive service reports for both internal teams and external clients.
- Identify and resolve performance issues with machinery proactively.
- Perform repairs and overhauls of equipment in the workshop as necessary.
- Participate in specialized training sessions related to specific machinery.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:
Essential:
- Trade qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with a restricted electrical license.
- Experience with food or beverage industry packaging and processing equipment.
- A willingness to work in environments involving raw meat.
- A desire to expand knowledge in meat processing applications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with major clients.
Desirable:
- Experience in the meat industry.
- Unrestricted electrician's license.
- Knowledge of electronics, motors, and servo drives.
- Familiarity with upstream and downstream meat production processes.
