Job Description

This role will be responsible for performing scheduled and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment at the site, as well as attending to breakdown responses to support business operations. You will report to the site Maintenance Manager and be part of a collaborative team working towards a common goal.

  • Carry out daily servicing, repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment as scheduled by the Maintenance Planner
  • Be actively involved in plant improvements and projects
  • Maintain a proactive safety attitude and follow safety protocols (e.g., LOTO, permits)
  • Work with and assist other team members as required e.g. two people, fabrication (hot work) or heavy-duty mechanical skills
  • Respond promptly to breakdown calls, evaluate causes, and implement solutions in coordination with production staff
  • Carry out minor electrical tasks i.e. disconnects - reconnects, resets, in line with relevant electrical qualifications, if applicable
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following:

  • A trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting and turning
  • A restricted Electrical licence (desirable)
  • Experience in FMCG or manufacturing, particularly in maintaining flour milling equipment
  • Relevant licences and tickets e.g. Confined space, Forklift, Working at heights, Elevated work platform (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills and an inclusive approach to dealing with peers and operations personnel at all levels
