
Dedicated Communication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Communications Operator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing calls for service in emergency, stressful, and challenging situations using high-level negotiation and conflict management skills.
You will apply the Queensland Police Service demand management framework (SOLVE) to allocate police resources for incident response, and accurately relay data using voice communications equipment in time-critical environments to provide responding police units with relevant information.
In addition, you will research various police data management systems to gather information on relevant persons, vehicles, and places of interest to police.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Calls for Service: You will be responsible for handling calls for service in emergency, stressful, and challenging situations using high-level negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Apply SOLVE Framework: You will apply the Queensland Police Service demand management framework (SOLVE) to allocate police resources for incident response.
- Relay Data: You will accurately relay data using voice communications equipment in time-critical environments to provide responding police units with relevant information.
- Gather Information: You will research various police data management systems to gather information on relevant persons, vehicles, and places of interest to police.
- Mandatory Training Program: Successful applicants must complete a 6-month Communications Operator Training Program.
- Typing Skills: A recent keyboard skills certificate indicating a minimum speed of 40 words per minute with 98% accuracy is required.
