Client Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Client Manager. This role will involve developing and executing tailored client strategies to maintain a profitable book of business.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing strategic leadership in managing client accounts, ensuring the client remains the focal point;
  • Analysing account and location risks to inform risk selection, capacity deployment, and policy terms and conditions within our underwriting framework;
  • Preparing insurance policies to ensure terms, conditions and wording accurately reflects a mutual understanding of intent of coverage;
  • Establishing and maintaining equitable policy terms and conditions;
  • Understanding value declarations and incorporating risk features, policy terms and special coverages into pricing models;
  • Continuing professional development to stay current with industry developments;
  • Identifying opportunities to improve profitability through creative solutions;
  • Supporting new business process by ensuring sustainable strategies for underwriting, risk quality and client engagement;

Our successful candidate will be well-positioned to step straight into this executive-client facing role, quickly developing knowledge of our business model and value proposition.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification;
  • Minimum 5 years property insurance experience, with client-facing experience highly regarded;
  • Demonstrated understanding of the property insurance landscape in Australia and New Zealand, including market trends, and broker networks;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, empathy and integrity, with a track record of nurturing sustainable relationships with clients;
  • Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail;
  • The ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines;
  • Polished and professional communication (written and verbal);
