Base pay range: A$55.00/hr - A$59.00/hr.

About the role

This role's overall purpose within Anglicare Southern Queensland is to provide quality allied health services to Anglicare clients and actively participate in the Anglicare Allied Health program to promote teamwork, clinical leadership and the specialist quality service. An Occupational Therapist - Allied Health Lead - Advanced Practice will demonstrate significant clinical experience in a wide range of practice areas. This role is a full-time permanent position within the Logan region for an experienced Occupational Therapist (minimum 5 years professional experience).

Responsibilities

• Independently apply a high standard of clinical and professional knowledge and judgments when performing complex or atypical tasks specific to the focused area of practice, including the clinical management of clients in your care.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments of clients, including those with complex presentations, and develop a collaborative treatment plan with appropriate goals utilising a wide range of clinical skills and knowledge.
• Organise a designated caseload effectively and efficiently with regard to clinical priorities and time management.
• Provide spontaneous and planned advice, teaching and instruction to relatives, carers and other professionals to promote understanding of the aims of therapy and ensure a consistent approach to client care.
• Actively lead and engage in the development of professional knowledge and skills, positively impacting service delivery by incorporating new trends and developments into practice and updating team members; undertake evaluation of clinical work and allied health programs to ensure they remain evidence-based and be prepared to recommend change.

About you

• Demonstrated clinical knowledge relevant to the focused area of practice within a community setting.
• Ability to independently apply professional knowledge and judgments when performing complex or atypical tasks specific to the focused area of practice.
• Experience working within a community-based multidisciplinary team, with capacity to negotiate with stakeholders, operate flexibly, and problem solve.
• Advanced oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise with diverse stakeholders.
• Well-developed organisational and planning skills to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
• Active participation in continuous quality improvement processes in a clinical setting.
• Experience in supporting and supervising senior clinicians and mentoring graduate-level practitioners.

Role Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree qualification relevant to the professional discipline
• Current unrestricted Queensland Driver Licence
• Current registration with AHPRA or other relevant registration body
• Minimum five years professional experience relevant to area of practice
• Completed training additional to Bachelor's degree relevant to area of practice
• Postgraduate qualifications relevant to area of practice (desirable)
• Ability and willingness to travel within the service region
• Current national police check
