Senior Project Officer Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to provide strategic advice on communications and manage the Board's correspondence portfolio.

  • Proactively identify emerging opportunities and issues that may impact the Board's reputation and provide strategic advice on communications to senior staff members.
  • Develop and implement communication projects to support the Secretariat's strategic business plan, delivering effective communication outcomes for the Board and Secretariat.
  • Manage a high volume of email and hard copy correspondence to and from the Board, in consultation with the Executive Committee member portfolio holder.

This is a challenging opportunity to work with a high-performing team. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent writing skills with great attention to detail, strong proofing skills, and the ability to mentor others to promote a culture of writing excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience providing high-quality information and advice to senior staff on complex communication issues.
  • Demonstrated experience writing and proofing material for print and digital media for complex and sensitive issues.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing communication projects that deliver effective outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience building and strengthening mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will have a tertiary qualification in communications and/or extensive experience working in a similar role. This is a mid-senior level position within the Government Administration industry, offering a competitive salary package and career advancement opportunities.
