Job Summary:

As a skilled Instrument Processing Technician, you will be responsible for providing clean and sterile supplies and equipment through decontamination, preparation, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Decontaminating and preparing surgical instruments for reuse.
  • Sterilizing equipment and supplies using industry-approved methods.
  • Storing and distributing medical equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports on equipment maintenance and inventory levels.

Requirements:

In order to excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to read and write English and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Current certification as a Certified Sterile Processing Technologist (CSP) or completion of an approved training program.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with experience working in a healthcare setting and knowledge of infection control practices are preferred. Additionally, proficiency in computer software and excellent communication skills are highly valued.
