Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Practitioner.

About the Role

This placement offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in early childhood education, working alongside experienced professionals in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shadowing and gaining hands-on experience in daily early childhood activities
  • Being paired with a host supervisor for guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback
  • Developing respectful and collaborative relationships with early childhood professionals, children, and families
  • Fostering inclusive, secure, and interactive learning environments through positive interactions with children
  • Participating in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs for children
  • Supporting the growth and development of children in play-based indoor/outdoor programs
  • Undertaking documentation of children's learning and development
  • Performing activities under supervision, aligned with course requirements to ensure placement outcomes are met
Requirements
  • Currently studying toward a relevant early childhood qualification
  • Holding a current Working with Children Check
  • Providing a signed Student Placement Agreement, including education provider's insurance documentation
  • Agreeing to act in accordance with Council's Employee Code of Conduct while undertaking placement
