Civil Works Labourer Position

Job Details:

  • We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious individual to fill the Civil Works Labourer position in Biggenden.

About the Role:

Main Responsibilities and Objectives:
  • Road and drainage works including construction and maintenance
  • Safe traffic control management to ensure public safety
  • Operating various tools and equipment according to manufacturer instructions

About You:

Requirements and Expectations:
  • A valid 'C' Class driver's licence for transportation purposes
  • A current Construction Induction (White Card) certification for site entry
  • Traffic Management Implementation Program licence for efficient operations
  • Traffic Control Industry Authority certification for workplace compliance
  • The physical ability to perform manual labour in hot and noisy conditions
  • A positive attitude towards teamwork and safe work practices
  • Good communication skills and basic literacy, numeracy, and computer/device use
  • A willingness to undergo training and adhere to Council procedures
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment medical assessments, including drug and alcohol screening, to confirm fitness for duty
