Treasury Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Treasury professional to join our team as a Treasurer. This is a rare and high-impact leadership opportunity to shape and execute funding, liquidity, and balance sheet strategies for a dynamic financial services organisation.

About the Role

The Treasurer will be responsible for leading the development and execution of funding and liquidity strategies, including securitisation programs and alternative structures. You will manage balance sheet risk, oversee the investment portfolio, asset allocation, and surplus funds. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify and manage financial risks across market, liquidity, and funding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute funding and liquidity strategies, including securitisation programs and alternative structures.
  • Risk Management: Manage balance sheet risk, including interest rate and maturity mismatches, within risk appetite.
  • Investment Management: Oversee the investment portfolio, asset allocation, and surplus funds.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks across market, liquidity, and funding.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven Track Record: A proven track record in senior Treasury roles within banking or financial services, with broad exposure across funding, securitisation, and balance sheet management.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, including APRA Prudential Standards and ALCO reporting.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to engage with external funding markets, regulators, and executive leadership.
  • Strategic Thinking: A strategic thinker who brings rigour, resilience, and stakeholder influence.
