Role Overview

This is a challenging opportunity to work as an Insurance Support Specialist in a fast-paced commercial insurance environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting underwriting teams by processing quotes, name clearance, and accurate binding of quotes. A strong team player with excellent communication skills is required to ensure efficient service delivery and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the offshore team to process timely requests for quotes and name clearance.
  • Work closely with underwriters to ensure smooth account handovers and complete documentation of files handled by the role holder.
  • Implement system procedures and create instruction documents to ensure related data is complete and accurate.
  • Track implementation progress and liaise with local staff to resolve queries.
  • Process mid-term endorsements, issuance of certificates of insurance, and premium collection monitoring according to established guidelines.
  • Address client and broker requests promptly and refer to Underwriters as necessary.
  • Develop expertise in systems and processes and act as a reference point for colleagues.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A permanent Australian Working Visa.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently.
  • Intermediate excel skills, including pivot tables and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality results.
  • Great time management skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Continuous improvement focused and willing to ask questions and explore new ideas.
