Insurance Support Specialist Role

This position plays a crucial role in supporting the commercial insurance lines within the organization. As an Insurance Support Specialist, you will work closely with underwriters and offshore teams to ensure efficient service delivery, accurate documentation, and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the offshore team to ensure timely requests for quotes, name clearance, and accurate binding of quotes are met
  • Engage proactively with underwriters to ensure smooth account handovers, ensuring information received is understood and complete for processing/policy instruction on systems
  • Implement system procedures and create instruction documents, ensuring related data is complete and accurate for local policy details
  • Maintain complete documentation of files handled by the role holder in the Underwriting file (on the document management system)
  • Accountable for correct premium, commission, and tax bookings in processing systems
  • Monitor implementation progress and liaise with local staff to resolve queries
  • At the request of Underwriting, implement mid-term endorsements, issue certificates of insurance, and focus on premium collection monitoring according to processing rules and guidelines, including system data entries
  • Address client/broker requests immediately and refer to Underwriters when necessary
  • Develop expertise in systems and processes, remaining up-to-date with new guidelines published and serving as a reference point for others
  • Ensure data quality accuracy ratios meet defined levels/metrics
