Job Title: Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary

This is a hands-on position requiring extensive knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment maintenance. You will be responsible for diagnosing problems, performing repairs and routine maintenance on our fleet of heavy equipment.

  • Diagnose mechanical issues with heavy equipment and make necessary repairs to get the machines back up and running.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
  • Conduct safety inspections on equipment to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Work closely with other technicians and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including time spent and materials used.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest technical developments and advancements in the field through ongoing training and education.
Key Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment parts and tools (up to 75 pounds).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
