Job Title: Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic
Job SummaryThis is a hands-on position requiring extensive knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment maintenance. You will be responsible for diagnosing problems, performing repairs and routine maintenance on our fleet of heavy equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues with heavy equipment and make necessary repairs to get the machines back up and running.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
- Conduct safety inspections on equipment to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Work closely with other technicians and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including time spent and materials used.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technical developments and advancements in the field through ongoing training and education.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment parts and tools (up to 75 pounds).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
