Electrical Estimator Role Overview

This is a key position based in our Head Office in Wangara, Perth.

An exciting new opportunity to develop and implement consistent, high quality estimating processes exists within our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and managing cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions/proposals for various design, fabrication, and construction projects involves the role of an Electrical Estimator.
  • Consultation with internal teams ensures successful project outcomes.
  • Client engagement, supplier interaction, and subcontractor liaison are essential responsibilities.
  • Contract interpretation, plan analysis, building procedures understanding, legislation, standards, and codes compliance are critical skills required.
  • The overall tender submission process coordination from quantity take-offs and project costing through to analysis of tender documentation and submission preparation are key duties.
Requirements:
  • Established in the construction Industry – Preferably WA experience is preferred.
  • Educational qualifications include an Electrical Trade Qualification.
  • Electrical Engineering Degree (Preferred but not mandatory) is desired.
  • A minimum 5 years experience in similar roles demonstrates expertise.
  • Experience in multiple electrical sectors – infrastructure, defence, resources - showcases adaptability.
  • Ability to use expert estimation software would be advantageous or willingness to learn is valued.
  • Understanding how to build up self-performed work crews enhances project delivery.
  • Mandatory requirements include holding valid Australian Working Rights.
