About Our Centre

KU Alfred Child Care Centre has been serving the needs of families in our community since 2004. Our centre operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, providing high-quality care for up to 60 children across nursery, toddler, and preschool rooms.

Our Team

We have a dedicated team of 14 professionals, including educators, a service cook, and an administrator, who are passionate about providing exceptional care and education for our children. Over half of our team members have been with us for more than 10 years, demonstrating our commitment to long-term employment and employee engagement.

The Role

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic childcare educator to join our team. As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively with our experienced educators to deliver high-quality care and education programs that cater to the diverse needs of our children.

You will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of our children. You will also contribute to the planning and implementation of engaging activities, lessons, and excursions that foster a love of learning and exploration.

Requirements
  • Australian working rights
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • An ACECQA recognised Diploma
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates along with current separate approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
  • Completed Child Protection Training as well as demonstrated understanding of current child safe practices
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
Salary and Benefits
