Energy Transition Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Energy Transition Specialist to join our team in Sydney. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of renewable energy projects and high voltage substation designs across Australia and New Zealand.

  • Develop innovative protection and controls systems for distribution, sub-transmission, and transmission substations.
  • Conduct advanced fault studies using industry-standard software to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Lead teams of engineers on larger work packages, providing mentorship and training to junior staff.
  • Design and deliver concept and detailed designs, reviewing protection schemes from high-level R&I diagrams through to detailed schematics and protection settings.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative design standards while performing quality checks to maintain high standards of delivery.
About the Role

This is a results-driven position that requires exceptional organisational skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical issues clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

You will have a strong background in electrical engineering and extensive experience in leading teams. You possess a passion for coaching and mentoring emerging engineers, ensuring their growth and development within the company.

Your Expertise
  • Electrical Engineering Background: Proven expertise in electrical engineering principles, including multidisciplinary engineering principles, advanced secondary and protection design.
  • Leadership Experience: Extensive experience in leading teams, managing project delivery, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Technical Expertise: Comprehensive experience with modern protection relay technology and substation automation systems.
