About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to lead our paediatric team in a hybrid role, providing therapeutic supports to vulnerable clients with mental health and trauma. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for driving the therapeutic planning and interventions implemented by the Individual Support Packages (ISS) team members, and external stakeholders to enhance children's psychosocial and developmental outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with a paediatric and adolescent caseload in clinic and community settings, providing therapeutic supports with some very niche clientele.
  • Drive the therapeutic planning and interventions implemented by the ISS team members, and external stakeholders to enhance children's psychosocial and developmental outcomes.
  • Receive specialised trauma informed care training & learn to work with the Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy model to support clients.
  • Access a minimum of $1300 PD allowance per year for further training.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Desirable but not essential- 5 years' experience leading a multidisciplinary team in a similar program and environment.
  • Highly developed knowledge of child protection issues and the child protection sector in Queensland.
  • Experience and capacity to foster and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders, partners and the community.
  • AHPRA registration.
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • Drivers licence and own vehicle.
