About the Role

Mater Misericordiae Ltd is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at our Rockhampton campus in our Medical/Surgical unit. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a multifaceted service with a permanent part-time or full-time position available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional occupational therapy clinical services of a complex nature, managing caseload priorities and discharge planning.
  • Work collaboratively with Nursing staff, Visiting Medical Officers, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Rehabilitation Assistants, Dietitians, and Pharmacists to ensure best patient outcomes are achieved.
  • Manage caseloads, measure outcomes, and demonstrate an ongoing dedication to continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to a safe workplace in a hospital environment.

About You

  • You will possess knowledge, expertise, and skill in assessment and management of patients with orthopaedic and neurological conditions.
  • You will have demonstrated ability to provide exceptional occupational therapy clinical services of a complex nature, managing caseload priorities and discharge planning.
  • Experience in Oedema management is highly desirable.
  • You will be currently registered with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist (no restrictions).
  • You will have a current driver's license.
  • Membership of the OT Australia is desirable.
