About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team in the City of Port Phillip. As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems within our open spaces, ensuring they are functioning efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality irrigation services to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Audit, manage, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure public health and environmental safety are not compromised during irrigation and water management activities.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and inform irrigation programs, work schedules, and reporting.
  • Prepare, implement, and adjust irrigation programs, auditing schedules, and other related tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of works performed.
  • Provide regular reports on irrigation auditing, works undertaken, and asset condition.
  • Investigate faults and ensure pre- and post-irrigation audits, mark-outs, and repairs are completed on time.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in irrigation and maintenance, with a focus on repair and installation.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting irrigation drawings and plans.
  • General plumbing experience is desirable.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Current Victorian Driver's License and First Aid Certificate.
  • Working With Children Check.
