About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst to join our Central Function Program at BAE Systems Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical and functional software product support, maintenance, and development to ensure a cost-effective solution to the business or customer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and actively resolve production incidents and support calls.
  • Participate in all stages of the systems implementation lifecycle, including gathering and defining user requirements, prototyping solutions, formulating designs, implementing systems, and preparing test plans.
  • Translate business objectives and user needs into clearly written functional/technical requirements.
  • Perform system administration and maintenance functions, including system configuration to meet a variety of business needs.
  • Collaborate with other System Analysts supporting other major areas of the ERP suite and other business systems as directed.
  • Work with scrum master and other team members on Agile Sprint deliverables.
  • Assist Senior analysts to drive continuous improvement of the ERP suite of systems by providing input on new processes and technology initiatives.
  • Work with the team to provide peer review technical solutions and actively work with external vendors (Level 1 managed services provider and product vendors).
  • Work with the Capability Architects and the business SMEs to operate in the direction of both support and development of the ERP capability and Roadmap.
  • Work directly with our customers and seek input for the definition of business requirements, scoping, design, and implementation.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in finance or science, with a focus on Oracle eBusiness modules on premise or on Cloud infrastructure, particularly in the Finance and Projects domains. Prior experience working with Java and Agile technology tool sets (JIRA) is highly desirable. Excellent data, process analysis, and design skills are essential. Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience is also highly valued. Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain a Baseline clearance is required.
