Senior Payroll Leader

At our institution, we seek a seasoned Payroll Officer/Senior Officer to lead their payroll team.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years' experience in end-to-end payroll, with expertise in managing complex payroll transactions, resolving client inquiries, and promoting a high-performing team culture.

  • Execute the fortnightly pay run, resolve client inquiries, and manage complex payroll transactions while promoting a collaborative team culture.
  • Take ownership of the fortnightly pay run process, including superannuation reporting, terminations, and redundancies, applying performance metrics for timely, efficient, and accurate payroll services.
  • Monitor and evaluate payroll processes using relevant tools and systems, implementing corrective actions to improve outcomes.
  • Act as a key escalation point and subject matter expert for resolving complex payroll issues, ensuring compliance and providing accurate guidance to the team and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing payroll processes, systems, and service delivery by leveraging innovative technologies and best practices.
