Mechanical Lubrication Specialist

About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Mechanical Lubrication Tradesperson, reporting to the Supervisor Condition Monitoring & Lubrication. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on fixed plant and port infrastructure, ensuring the safe delivery of department objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Management and improvement of automated lubrication systems
- Collaboration with condition monitoring technicians to maintain equipment reliability
- Routine lubrication inspections and greasing of conveyor drive couplings and components
- Routine oil change out and filtering
- Checking and filling lubricant and hydraulic tanks
- Stock monitoring for lubrication stores
- Filter changes and lubrication system maintenance
- Breather maintenance and replacement
- Lubrication system top-up and maintenance and oil analysis
- Promotion of standardized work and routine improvements
We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual with a strong interest in fixed plant equipment, heavy machinery, and materials handling equipment. The ideal candidate will have mechanical trade qualifications or technical experience and a passion for continuous improvement and safety compliance.
Requirements:
- Mechanical trade qualified or technically minded with similar role experience
- Mining or heavy industrial/manufacturing experience highly regarded
- Experience with lubrication inspections, oil changes, and equipment greasing advantageous
- A valid C Class Driver's Licence is essential (HR Licence desirable)
- Forklift Licence an advantage but can be provided
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team and prioritize tasks
- Effective listening and strong interpersonal skills
