Pastoral Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pastoral Care Specialist to join our team at Triple Care Farm. In this role, you will provide spiritual guidance and support to staff, young people in residence, and community members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer empathetic listening, pastoral care, and spiritual support to individuals and groups, promoting emotional well-being and resilience.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on values-based decision making and spiritual growth, aligned with our Christian Founding Purpose and values.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers to develop and deliver meaningful reflections, team activities, and cultural programs that foster a sense of community and purpose.
  • Nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and local churches to enhance chaplaincy services and support.
  • Refer individuals to relevant professional or community services when issues exceed the scope of chaplaincy expertise.
  • Evaluate and report on chaplaincy activities, suggesting improvements and contributing to service development.
  • Ensure compliance with our Child & Youth Safe policies, actively addressing concerns to safeguard vulnerable populations.
Requirements:
  • An ordained Minister, Pastor, or equivalent in good standing, with relevant theological or pastoral care qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering culturally sensitive pastoral care and spiritual guidance across diverse communities.
  • Strong interpersonal and counselling skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and confidentially.
  • Able to work collaboratively across denominations while upholding our Christian Founding Purpose and values.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a part-time role.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present reflections and engage staff and clients meaningfully.
  • Ongoing commitment to personal spiritual growth, self-care, and active participation in a local church community.
