Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our culinary team as a Chef de Partie. This role involves preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes, contributing new ideas to the menu, ensuring efficient stock rotation, maintaining clean workspaces, and monitoring portion and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare, cook, and present a variety of high-quality dishes for a la carte and events menus
  2. Follow recipes, directions, training, and instructions from the Head Chef and Sous Chef daily
  3. Maintain quality and consistency by plating and presenting dishes correctly, proper portioning, and stock management to minimize food costs
  4. Maintain clean and orderly workspaces, adhering to HACCP and food safety guidelines
  5. Actively drive and support Work, Health, and Safety Compliance activities
  6. Direct and support junior kitchen team members with positive communication and feedback
  7. Train junior team members using policies and procedures and available training courses
  8. Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders

Requirements

  1. Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
  2. Understanding of strict health and hygiene standards and Workplace Health & Safety legislation
  3. Experience in food quality control and digital ordering platforms
  4. Familiarity with HACCP practices and reporting tools
  5. Current NSW Food Safety handling certificate or willingness to obtain
  6. Chef Trade qualifications
  7. Multifunctional chef with interest in expanding culinary development and hospitality career
  8. Able to work a rotating roster including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
  9. Passionate about producing great-tasting, visually appealing food
