As a Principal Civil Engineer, Water Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our cities and environments. You will lead complex water infrastructure projects, collaborate with design teams, and provide expert consultancy services to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex water infrastructure projects, including large diameter or reticulation pipelines, treatment plants, and pump stations.
- Provide expert consultancy and detailed design engineering services for clients while offering technical leadership for successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with design teams, other technical leaders, commercial teams, and project management to create opportunities for growth across various engineering services.
- Balance technical innovation with practical implementation, ensuring designs are excellent, buildable, and deliverable within commercial constraints.
- Support planning, design, project delivery leadership, and business development, working with major water authorities across the state and Australia.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent (Ceng or PE).
- 15+ years experience in water and wastewater civil engineering.
- Strong background in water industry consultancy, civil design, and project delivery.
- Proven track record of technical leadership for successful delivery of water infrastructure projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety in design and Australian water industry standards.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple engineering or adjacent disciplines across geographic locations.
- Ability to mentor early or mid-career professionals.
