Job Description

About this role:

  • Provide technical expertise to ensure the successful handover and acceptance of civil infrastructure assets.
  • Oversee the identification, management, and resolution of defects and outstanding issues.
  • Ensure assets are integrated into operations in a safe, compliant, and sustainable way.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and approve documents related to construction projects.
  2. Provide recommendations for the approval of certain certificates.
  3. Review, assess, and approve notices and approvals for excavation related to civil works within the network.
  4. Prepare and maintain scope of works for end-of-liability inspections for civil infrastructure.
  5. Coordinate and oversee the execution of end-of-liability inspections.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline is required.
  • Current registration with the Victorian Building Authority as a Building Inspector (Unlimited) is necessary.
  • Significant working experience in a similar position within rail or major infrastructure sectors is preferred.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Civil Engineering degree or equivalent discipline.
  • Building Inspector registration with the Victorian Building Authority.
  • Experience in civil infrastructure roles within rail or major infrastructure sectors.
