We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated commercial underwriter to join our team in Sydney. This role requires strong underwriting skills, knowledge of commercial insurance products and excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Provide high-level underwriting service to broker stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with underwriting and distribution teams to ensure appropriate decisions are made

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing electronic referrals received via Sunrise
  • Processing new business requests, renewals, endorsements and amendments
  • Working effectively within the underwriting team to achieve profitable growth
  • Submitting ideas to improve underwriting approach
  • Monitoring performance to achieve key financial indicators
  • Maximising retention of preferred accounts
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Possession of relevant qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
