The Role: Financial Accountant

Job Overview:

This is a 12-month fixed term contract for an experienced Financial Accountant supporting the organisation across their tax compliance and financial reporting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Assist with income tax calculations and year-end tax returns.
  • Support year-end accounting processes in line with tax requirements.
  • Review compliance work and provide accounting advice to the wider organisation.
  • Support the preparation of annual and half-year statutory reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance across all reporting requirements.
  • Support ad hoc accounting and financial projects as required.

About You:

  • You must be a CA/CPA qualified professional with relevant experience in tax and financial accounting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax legislation and accounting standards is essential.
  • Previous exposure to large corporate or property environments is desirable.
  • You should have excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are also necessary.
