The Data and AI Privacy Manager will lead the development of robust privacy, data protection, and AI ethics frameworks across Victoria. This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to applicable privacy laws while addressing emerging challenges in AI privacy, data security, and risk management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection strategies.
- Overseeing the integration of privacy-by-design principles into AI initiatives.
- Ensuring the responsible handling of personal and sensitive data in alignment with privacy obligations and community expectations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Data Governance and privacy compliance. Desired skills include IAPP Information Privacy Manager/CIPM and CIPT credentials.
Leadership abilities, including building a shared sense of direction, clarifying priorities, and proactively addressing strategic issues, are essential for this role.
A systematic analytical ability to inform decisions and provide authoritative advice on complex governance, audit, and risk management matters is also required.
