We are seeking a seasoned Technical Director to spearhead our engineering efforts and drive the delivery of high-quality software.

As a key member of our team, you will provide technical guidance across both backend (PHP) and frontend (Angular) development, lead a team of developers, and collaborate closely with Product, Delivery Managers, and other stakeholders to advance our feature roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the technical delivery of projects — from solution design to implementation and deployment.
  • Guide backend development using PHP (e.g., Symfony or Laravel) and frontend architecture using Angular.
  • Work with AWS serverless services to design scalable and cost-effective infrastructure.
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and manage build processes with tools like Docker.
  • Leverage modern tooling and observability practices to maintain system reliability and performance.
  • Write and maintain automation tests and unit tests using frameworks like Cypress or Jest.
  • Identify and research emerging technologies or tools that can improve team efficiency and product quality, and drive their adoption.
  • Lead and mentor a team of developers through all phases of software development.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s with developers, supporting their growth and performance.
  • Facilitate feature-level discussions with Product to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Delivery Managers, and stakeholders to refine and prioritize the team backlog.
  • Work closely with the Engineering Manager to define and evolve the team's technical direction and best practices.
  • Support hiring efforts by participating in candidate evaluation and interviews.
Requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience with PHP and Angular.
  • Solid knowledge of AWS serverless services.
  • Hands-on experience with automation testing tools like Cypress or Jest.
  • Deep understanding of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and build/release processes.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams and mentoring developers.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for building scalable, maintainable systems and nurturing strong team dynamics.
