Telecommunications Specialist Job Description

DinVision Pty Ltd is a leading provider of project management, construction, installation, and maintenance services for wireless and fixed telecommunication infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess work requirements and choose the best location for antenna or satellite dish installation
  • Assemble and mount VSAT ODU satellite dishes, wireless or directional microwave antennas
  • Install IFL cabling, wallplates, UPS systems, terminate cables, and install splitters, multiswitches, and multiplexers
  • Install and activate VSAT Modems, IDUs, Set-Top boxes, CelFi antennas, and connect to customer WiFi and LAN Routers
  • Train customers in system and equipment operation and basic maintenance

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate a minimum of 3-years of documented experience as a Telecommunications Specialist
  • Possess the right to work in Australia (Australian citizens and permanent residents are preferred)
  • Hold a Construction Industry Induction White Card
  • Pass a national police check
  • Be proficient in VisRES, Novus cloud environments, CRM software, Google Application package, Dropbox, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Package, and interpreting engineering drawings

Desirable skills and qualifications include knowledge of industry equipment standards, solid IT skills in Computer Network Routing, Switching, load balancing, and experience with Ubiquiti and MikroTik LAN device setup and configuration.
