The Long-Term Recovery and Resilience team (LTRR) plays a vital role in establishing and managing long-term recovery and resilience programs to support these communities.

- referral to support services;
- distribution and coordination of financial assistance through procurement and grants processing;
- developing and funding projects in disaster-affected communities.
In this challenging Senior Program Officer Procurement and Grants Management role, you will conduct robust market analysis and planning to inform commissioning and investment decisions. You will establish and ensure the correct governance procedures are put in place for procurement negotiation requirements, including undertaking a secretariat role for assessment panels.
You will develop procurement and grant documentation, ensuring high-level governance practices and compliance with legislation, investment specifications, and departmental policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in procurement and grant management processes combined with financial acumen and demonstrated communication and negotiation skills.
You will need to have critical analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to escalate issues. Experience in end-to-end contract management and the establishment of contract management plans, preferably human and social service contracts in the public sector, is highly desirable. Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and frameworks is essential.
