Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled Scientific Researcher to join our Bioscience team. As a Scientific Researcher, you will conduct rigorous microbiological and biochemical testing, analyse data with precision, and contribute to advancing research and product development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a range of microbiological and biochemical tests, accurately analyse experimental data, and prepare detailed reports.
- Collaborate effectively with senior team members and provide guidance to junior staff in scientific techniques and quality procedures.
- Develop, review, and maintain Work Instructions (WIs) and Standard Test Methods (STMs) to support smooth laboratory operations.
- Ensure all experimental details are documented accurately and in a timely manner using Electronic Lab Books (ELBs).
- Identify and troubleshoot out-of-specification or trending results under senior guidance.
- Comply with ISO13485, GLP requirements, and the organisation's Quality Management System.
- Support the procurement, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Adhere to Workplace Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
You will work closely with internal teams including Bioscience, Research and Product Development, Verification and Validation, Clinical Affairs, Quality, Production, and Facilities. You may also engage with external service providers and contract laboratories.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in microbiology, biochemistry, or a related biological science discipline (essential).
- 1-3 years' experience in a relevant laboratory environment.
- Strong aseptic microbiological techniques.
- Ability to work independently and show initiative.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word essential).
- A strong team player, self-starter, eager to learn, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
