As a Data Center Inventory Specialist at Microsoft, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our global data center inventory. This includes performing cycle audits, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining up-to-date inventory management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to initiate warranty claims and process failed vendor hardware devices.
  • Leverage process knowledge and best judgment to complete tasks with minimal direct supervision.
  • Maintain accurate logical information within inventory management systems.
  • Ensure detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
  • Reconcile and report inventory discrepancies.
  • Perform data bearing device destruction following all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Microsoft policies.
  • Notify management about ordering stock shortages and escalate any issues.
  • Comply with security and data management policies.
