About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to join our Security Operations Team based in Fujitsu's Cyber Resilience Centre (CRC). As part of your role, you will ensure that cyber security incidents, exposures and vulnerabilities are being appropriately detected and resolved across all our clients' environments.
You will conduct triage and analysis on alerts, using security technologies to investigate and respond to help keep our customers secure. This includes proactively scanning environments, mentoring and guiding other team members, profiling and trending events in the environment to determine if an incident needs to be created after scanning/sweeping.
While the Cyber Security Specialist will spend time working from documented playbooks, security analytics will be a large portion of your work. You will maintain incident response plans and playbooks, ensuring that any learnings are communicated to the wider Information Security team for consideration in strategic roadmap activities, security awareness, etc.
About You:
- Actively monitor and analyze CRC client systems and respond to cyber security incidents as per the documented process.
- Ensure that all detected security incidents and breaches are investigated and responded to in a timely fashion.
- Maintain incident response plans and playbooks.
- Ensure that any learnings are communicated to the wider Information Security team for consideration in strategic roadmap activities, security awareness, etc.
- Provide input into regular security reporting.
- Participate in cyber security incident simulation activities.
- Identify and appropriately manage security risks.
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve security within CRC client environments.
- Provide after-hours support and participate in an on-call roster.
Requirements:
- AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance essential.
- Demonstrated experience working in a security operations centre (SOC) environment with sound technical understanding of security incidents and alerts and well-versed in security technologies and tools.
- Minimum 2 years experience in incident analysis, security analytics, malware research, or similar experience.
- Experience analysing and inspecting log information, packets, and other security tool information output from a variety of sources.
- Exposure to network devices, Microsoft Windows systems, UNIX systems, and security products utilised in the specific environment.
- Familiarity with basic reverse engineering principles and understand malware, rootkits, network protocols and enterprise security architecture.
- Attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills are essential.
- Desirable skills include; experience working with multiple customers and antivirus/firewalls/IDS/IPS/web filtering exposure.
