About the Role

As a Cyber Security Operations Specialist at ING, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing the Bank's cyber security environment across Australia region. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a collaborative team to manage the end-to-end application security process.

This role is perfect for someone who can think out of the box, improve automation, and get things done. You'll enjoy this role if you're proactive, positive, and have a curious mindset.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and respond to security queries and escalations from internal and external sources, including managing events from detection to classification as an incident, and through to closure.
  • Threat modelling, identifying current and emerging technology issues, including security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats.
  • Work closely with Tech teams to ensure that system vulnerabilities and weaknesses are identified and tracked to closure.
  • Manage and articulate tasks independently with minor supervision.
  • Manage Security Monitoring related backlogs and priorities effectively according to department/organization goals.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience with security technologies, vulnerability, and compliance scanning tools.
  • Proven experience with Server Operating Systems (Windows/Linux) and network technologies (switches, firewall, proxy servers).
  • Experience in security information and event management systems, password, and privileged access management systems.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages with minimum 2-3 years IT security experience.
