Job OverviewWe are seeking a driven and results-focused Business Development Manager to join our Commercial and Industrial Customer Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-value sales outcomes of energy solutions in the commercial and industrial sector.
About the RoleIn this challenging and rewarding role, you will own all stages of the sales funnel, building a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and ultimately delivering quality sales to exceed targets. You will work closely with various internal stakeholders, including sales, engineering, delivery, and asset management teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead business development activities for projects, researching large industrial energy consumers and relevant stakeholders, and maintaining relationships to identify potential renewable energy and hybrid power systems projects.
- Support project development activities, defining scope of work and business for technical feasibility studies, reviewing budgets and schedules, and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities to meet annual targets in terms of pipeline growth, revenue, and gross margin, as well as participating in the assessment of emerging technologies.
- E nsure that all health, safety, and environment systems and goals are introduced and adhered to while meeting the organisation's policies and standards for HSE management.
- Bachelor-level tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Commerce, or Engineering, with experience in high-value deal making for projects in excess of AU$5 million in similar sales roles.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the energy market and energy projects space, especially in technologies such as solar, wind, batteries, gensets, and control systems.
- A hunter mentality with demonstrated success in developing and executing sales plans and a record of achieving sales quotas in a B2B environment for industrial businesses, with experience working with CRM solutions to report and track pipeline progress.
- Excellent professional communication skills with senior executives of industrial companies, coupled with strong writing skills, and intermediate or advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Self-motivated, achievement-oriented, well-disciplined, task-focused, with a strong sense of timeliness and the ability to manage complex deals from origination through to project development and contracting.
