Key Role Summary

This Compliance position plays a vital role in leading the implementation, execution, and monitoring of risk and compliance management frameworks and regulatory change agendas.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders to increase awareness of regulatory obligations.
  • Provide trusted advice to Risk Owners and Divisional Management on compliance matters and process development in line with approved risk appetite and Allianz's risk management framework.
  • Contribute to strengthening governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Direct compliance plan implementation and monitoring.
  • Offer guidance on business solutions for incoming regulatory changes.
  • Support management in developing action plans to address breaches.
  • Develop compliance-specific key performance indicators (KPIs).
Required Skills and Qualifications

For this mid-to-senior level role, we are looking for an experienced professional with a relevant tertiary qualification and leadership experience in risk management, compliance, or internal audit within a complex financial services organisation. Key skills include advanced communication and writing skills, technical understanding of regulatory requirements, and ability to apply practical acumen to business problems.

  • Leadership experience in risk management, compliance, or internal audit.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in law or business management.
  • Significant expertise in assessing risk levels and proposing mitigation solutions.
  • Ability to design and understand operational and compliance risks.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders, influence outcomes, and navigate complexity.
  • Strong commercial acumen and passion for leveraging emerging technologies.
