Job Title: Consumer Protection and Enforcement Leaders

Job Description:

The Assistant Director, Consumer and Fair Trading Division, plays a pivotal role in leading the division’s enforcement and compliance activities. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of Australian consumers and small businesses.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, including application of consumer protection provisions.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing investigations and/or projects, including efficient and effective allocation of resources, achievement of standards and delivery of outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake objective, systematic analysis to draw accurate conclusions and support evidence-based decision making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate complex technical information to variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team in fast-paced and large complex people centred organisation, with ability to guide and develop staff.
