About this role:

We are seeking a highly skilled automation professional to develop and maintain plant control systems and automation infrastructure at our Australian mine.

This hands-on position involves designing, developing, and maintaining automation and control systems, implementing standards, and driving change management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement standards for plant control systems and automation processes.
  • Manage and maintain PCS, including SCADA and PLC programming, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
  • Supervise contractors and site personnel involved in control systems and automation projects.
  • Install, program, and maintain Rockwell Automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify faults within data networks including Ethernet, ControlNet, and Modbus communication systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational targets.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and safety regulations.
About You:
  • A background in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Trade with strong PLC programming experience.
  • Experience in Rockwell Automation software, including Allen-Bradley PLCs and Plant SCADA.
  • Strong capability in SCADA system development, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with automation and control system projects in heavy industrial environments.
  • A self-motivated individual who is proactive and comfortable working autonomously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with cross-functional teams.
