This is a part-time opportunity to work in our team of skilled professionals.
The Position:We are seeking an enthusiastic hospitality professional to join us at our aged care residence in Sydney. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for heating and plating up evening meals, preparing sandwiches, salads, and hot lunches, and ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are clean and hygienic.
Key Responsibilities:- Heating and plating up evening meals
- Preparing sandwiches, salads, and hot lunches
- Plating up, serving, and setting up food trolleys for meal delivery to residents
- Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen, equipment, and dining areas
- Modifying dishes according to special diets, including allergies, intolerances, supplements, and texture-modified purees
- Emptying bins and removing rubbish
- Maintaining legislated food hygiene and safety practices
- Previous experience assisting in all aspects of kitchen operations, food preparation, and service provision in an aged care or similar catering environment
- Ability to work well with other team members
- A commitment to genuine customer service
- A motivated, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
- Confident knife skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
