Financial Regulatory Specialist Role

This position involves contributing to the maintenance of the integrity of the financial system and protection of consumers from harm.

Key Responsibilities:

The Market Conduct team oversees the behaviour of market participants, ensuring Australia's financial markets operate with integrity and transparency. As a Financial Regulatory Specialist, you will be part of a team monitoring investment banks and intermediaries, analysing market activity, and contributing to regulatory outcomes that support fair and efficient markets.

  • Conduct surveillance, intelligence gathering, and project work to identify risks and assess compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse market activity and provide evaluation and guidance on technical and policy issues.
  • Undertake research and contribute internal advice, reports, and briefings for regulatory matters.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About You:

You will have experience in compliance, risk, or analysis of regulatory issues in a financial services environment such as trading, corporate finance, investment banking, or within a regulator. You have knowledge of regulatory frameworks and regulations applicable to financial services intermediaries.
